RETURN, REFUND & EXCHANGE POLICY

1. Overview

This Return, Refund & Exchange Policy ("Policy") outlines the conditions under which LaShadé Designs LLC ("the Company," "we," "our," or "us") accepts returns, issues refunds, and processes exchanges for products purchased through our website, lashadedesigns.com, and associated digital platforms.

By placing an order, the customer ("you" or "the User") agrees to this Policy in its entirety. This Policy applies to all online purchases unless otherwise specified in writing by the Company.

2. General Policy

Due to the made-to-measure and handcrafted nature of all LaShadé pieces, we do not accept returns, exchanges, or refunds once an order has been placed and confirmed. Each piece is produced specifically for you and cannot be restocked or resold.

However, if you received a damaged, defective, or incorrect product:

  • Notify customercare@lashadedesigns.com within 72 hours of delivery
  • Provide clear photographs of the product and its packaging
  • Once verified, we will arrange a replacement or repair at no additional cost to you
  • The item must be unworn, unused, unwashed, and in its original condition with all original packaging
  • Any item that does not meet these conditions will not be accepted for exchange

3. Request to Order — Confirmation & Cancellation

For all Request to Order pieces — including out of stock Ready to Wear, made to measure, bespoke, and couture gowns — the following applies:

  • No payment is taken at the time of request
  • Once LaShadé confirms fabric availability and production timeline, a payment link is sent
  • Full payment is required within 48 hours of confirmation to secure the order
  • Once payment is received and production has begun, the order is considered final and non-refundable
  • Cancellations requested before production begins will be considered on a case by case basis
  • Cancellations after production has begun are not accepted under any circumstances as materials and tailor time have already been committed

4. Non-Returnable and Final Sale Items

The following are non-returnable, non-exchangeable, and final sale under all circumstances:

  • All Ready to Wear pieces once dispatched
  • Request to Order pieces once payment is confirmed and production has begun
  • Made to measure and bespoke garments at any stage after payment
  • Couture gown commissions at any stage after payment
  • Sale, promotional, or discounted items
  • Gift cards and digital downloads
  • Intimates, swimwear, or accessories for hygiene reasons

5. Exchange Authorization

In the limited cases where an exchange is applicable — specifically damaged, defective, or incorrect items — all exchange requests must be submitted to customercare@lashadedesigns.com and must include:

  • Your order number
  • The item or items to be exchanged
  • The reason for the exchange
  • Clear photographs of the damage, defect, or incorrect item

Once reviewed, our team will issue a Return Authorization (RA) Number along with the return address and instructions. Unauthorized returns submitted without an RA Number will not be processed and will be returned to the sender.

Once the returned item is received and inspected you will receive written confirmation of approval, exchange, store credit, or rejection. The Company reserves the right to refuse any return or exchange that fails to comply with this Policy.

6. Exchange Shipping

Unless the exchange is due to an error by LaShadé — such as a defective or incorrect item — all shipping costs for exchanges are the responsibility of the customer. Requirements:

  • The package must be sent via a trackable courier service
  • The RA Number must be clearly marked on the parcel
  • Items must be securely packaged to avoid damage in transit

LaShadé is not responsible for items lost, delayed, or damaged during return shipping. We strongly recommend insuring high-value shipments.

7. Store Credit

In approved cases where an exchange cannot be fulfilled due to stock availability, LaShadé may issue store credit to the value of the original purchase. Store credit is valid for 12 months from the date of issue and may be applied to any future order.

8. Policy Abuse

LaShadé reserves the right to refuse future transactions or account access if patterns of excessive, fraudulent, or abusive return or exchange behavior are detected.

9. Modifications to This Policy

LaShadé may update or revise this Policy at any time without prior notice. All revisions become effective upon publication on the website. It is the customer's responsibility to review this Policy periodically for updates.
