Olashade Olabisi is the Creative Director and Designer behind LaShadé, whose work explores the intersection of design, identity and transformation. Her journey into fashion began long before LaShadé became a name. It started with curiosity, imagination, and a deep appreciation for beauty in its purest form.
As a child, she turned curtains into dresses and living rooms into runways, guided by an instinct for transformation that evolved into a lifelong pursuit of creative expression and devotion to her craft.
Olashade’s path has been both global and deeply personal. Having lived and worked across Germany, Canada, the United States, and Nigeria, her worldview blends the precision and simplicity of European craftsmanship, the soulful and inventive artistry of Africa, and the expressiveness of North American fashion. Each country became a chapter that shaped her aesthetic, expanding her perspective, and deepening her commitment to telling authentic stories through clothing.
With nearly two decades of experience in the fashion industry, as a published fashion stylist, designer, and creative director, she has shaped visual narratives for individuals, brands, photographers, and institutions. Her portfolio spans editorial styling, fashion production, bespoke design, and image consulting for private clients and public figures.
Olashade’s design language reflects her global sensibility and the cultural dialogues that inspire her. Her life and work celebrates individuality and empowerment, honoring both the journey of becoming and the beauty of being.
