This Shipping Policy outlines how LaShadé Designs LLC ("the Company," "we," "our," or "us") manages the delivery of products purchased via our website, lashadedesigns.com. By placing an order, the customer ("you" or "the User") agrees to all terms stated here.
All LaShadé pieces are handcrafted in Abuja, Nigeria. Orders are fulfilled from our Nigeria production studio and our United States location depending on product availability and your delivery region. Because every piece is made with intention and precision, production time applies before dispatch.
Ready to Wear — Standard Sizes
Our Ready to Wear collection is available in standard sizes (One Size, XS through XXL). In-stock pieces ship within 3–5 business days. Items with a length selection (Petite, Average, Tall, or Custom) require 3–5 additional business days for production before dispatch. This applies to all dresses, jumpsuits, and bottoms that include a length option.
Ready to Wear — Request to Order
If your size or a specific piece is not currently in stock, you may submit a Request to Order. No payment is taken at the time of request. We will confirm fabric availability, your production timeline, and payment details within 48 hours. Once payment is received and confirmed, production begins. Processing time for Request to Order pieces is confirmed personally based on current production capacity.
Custom Made to Measure
Our made to measure service allows clients to order any piece from the Ready to Wear collection in their exact measurements. Processing time is 3–6 weeks depending on the complexity of the garment and current production schedule. Your exact timeline will be confirmed before payment is taken.
Bespoke Orders
Fully custom garments designed from scratch based on your measurements, preferences, and creative direction. Processing time is 4–12 weeks depending on the complexity of the garment and current production schedule. Your exact timeline will be confirmed before production. This category includes our Couture Gown collection and all fully original designs.
Bespoke and Couture orders begin with a consultation — contact us at customercare@lashadedesigns.com or submit a Request to Order directly on the product page to begin the process.
Processing time is separate from delivery time. Delivery begins after your piece has been completed and dispatched.
United States
Complimentary shipping on all US orders. Delivery via standard courier — estimated 3–5 business days after dispatch. A tracking number will be sent by email once dispatched. US orders are fulfilled from our United States location where stock is available, or from Abuja via DHL international for Made-to-Measure and Bespoke pieces.
Nigeria
Delivery within Abuja is available for local pickup or courier. Lagos and other states ship via courier — estimated 2–5 business days. Shipping rates are displayed at checkout.
International
International shipping is available on request. Rates and timelines will be confirmed at the time of your request. Contact customercare@lashadedesigns.com for international shipping enquiries.
5. Request to Order — Payment & Confirmation
For all Request to Order pieces — including out of stock Ready to Wear, made to measure, bespoke, and couture — the following process applies:
If payment is not received within 48 hours of confirmation, the request is released.
6. Shipping Rates

7. Customs, Duties & Taxes
International orders outside the United States may be subject to customs fees, import duties, or taxes determined by the destination country. These charges are not included in product prices or shipping fees and are the responsibility of the recipient. Customs policies vary widely — please contact your local customs office for details before placing an international order.
8. Address Accuracy
Please ensure your delivery address is complete and accurate before submitting your order. LaShadé is not responsible for delays or losses resulting from incorrect or incomplete addresses. Address changes cannot be guaranteed after an order has been confirmed and production has begun.
9. Tracking & Delivery Confirmation
All dispatched orders include tracking details sent via email. LaShadé is not liable for packages marked as delivered by the carrier but reported missing after confirmed delivery. For any delivery concerns please contact us at customercare@lashadedesigns.com and we will assist in following up with the carrier.
10. Failed Deliveries
If a package is returned due to an incorrect address, failure to receive delivery, or non-payment of customs fees — the customer is responsible for re-shipment fees and any return charges billed by the carrier. Returned packages are held for 14 business days before being considered abandoned.
11. Risk of Loss
Risk of loss transfers to the customer once the package is handed over to the carrier and tracking is confirmed.
12. Delivery Delays
LaShadé is not responsible for delays caused by customs inspections, weather conditions, carrier delays, global disruptions, strikes, or political events. We will support you in following up with the carrier where possible and will keep you informed throughout.
13. Modifications to This Policy
LaShadé may update this policy at any time to reflect changes in our operations. The latest version will always appear on this page. It is the customer's responsibility to review this policy periodically.
